Wilmington, NC - December 20, 1999, - It was announced
December 13th, 1999 by Network Associates that the U.S. Government has
granted a full license for the export of their powerful PGP encryption
software worldwide. With this decision Blueprint Software Works will
be able to make PMMail 2000 Professional available for international
distribution on January 1, 2000. For more information regarding this
decision please see Network Associates website at http://www.nai.com.
"For several months many of our users had requested
that we make a version of PMMail incorporating international PGP for
them. We were hesitant to begin development of this project expecting
the encryption export laws to change", said James McCorquodale, Marketing
and Support Coordinator, Blueprint Software Works. "We are very pleased
to see that we were correct in this belief, and that the development
efforts were spent on the development of other projects."
This export decision will now allow PMMail users
outside of the U.S. and Canada to have the same level of message privacy
and security as their North American counterparts. Current users of
PMMail Standard may now upgrade to the Professional version and retain
full usage of any current public and private keyrings they may have.
For further information on this upgrade please contact Blueprint Software
Works.
