Migrating messages to PMMail from Outlook Express

This is a multi-stepped process for migrating messages from Outlook Express to PMMail 2000, that 
can be used until we provide an update for the utility.

The steps below (with some modification) should work in migrating files from most any mail program
 to PMMail.  (Netscape needs a different set of instructions which is avilable at the following 
http://www.pmmail2000.com/suptxt/net.txt



SECTION 1 - In PMMail 2000
1.  Create a folder in one of your accounts called 'Migrate'
2.  Create a filter in this account and name it 'Migrate' performing the following steps
   
   Search -    <From>
   For            @
   Type    -     Manual
   Save attachments to directory - (filepath to the Migrate folder created above)



SECTION 2 - In Outlook Express

2.  Select the messages you wish to move, or select all.
3.  Click the FORWARD button.  This should open up a compose window with all of the messages 
     as attachments
4.  In the compose window, select FILE and then SAVE AS.
5.  Browse to the 'Migrate' folder you created earlier in PMMail.  Name the file and click OK
     !!! It is important that this file still has the *.EML file type !!!
6.  Close Outlook Express.

Section 3 - In PMMail 2000
1. Open up the 'Migrate' folder
2.  Right click on it and select "Re-Index'.   The message from Outlook should appear now.
3.  In the message list window select the message, right click on it, and choose "Apply Manual 
     Filters". Select the 'Migrate'  filter you created in Section 1.
4.  PMMail should prompt you when filtering is completed.
5.  Right click on the Migrate folder and "Re-index"


That should do it!!
